Cross-country
A hunter pace is an event over hunting territory or cross-country with a set "optimum time" — based on a true hunting pace and not revealed to riders in advance.
Riders go out as a group of two or more over a set course, with go-arounds at every jump. Students always ride alongside the instructor and/or the instructor's assistant.
